The Official NN.N 2009 Hot Chicks Draft
I’m down with this only because I am last in the draft and since we are doing and odd number of rounds, I get the shaft. If we had this 16th FA round, we all get equal opportunity in picks. But it must be in the appropriate order where I am first in the round and NWA is last.
Commish can we get a ruling? I just thought it would be fun because it may draw in some girls that are difficult to pick in the established categories… and really what is the harm of having more women???

That works for me. If I had not caught it you might have had a team of all supermodels!
ur prob right!

I’m just wondering why we don’t have a Animation/Disney category??? Jasmine from Alladin had it ALL!

Maybe we can add that in next year - Lady J in GI Joe was always a favorite of mine.

She-Ra.
All the chicks from GI Joe/Cobra.
The woman who was friends with He-Man.
I used to watch Jem. The girls in her band, & the girls in the bad band were all hot.
Jessica Rabbit.
Holly Wood.

Cheetara from the thundercats was hot too.

Great idea as far as I’m concerned. I had not thought about Bust’s point of having an odd # of rounds being a little unfair to him since he’s drafting last. I’ll add it to the first post of this thread.

Sweet!

Just to clarify, I can pick someone who was born in Africa and that makes them African descent? Or what if one or both of their parents lived in Africa for a year, then moved to somewhere else and she was born in the other place? Does that also qualify as Afican descent? I haven't made this pick yet and I just want to know how wide a field I get to choose from.

Lol. Dude you’re putting way too much seriousness into this.

Quite frankly I did not know that much about Theron’s history. Just looked some up. She was born in S Africa. Lived there for 18 years. I have no idea how you equate that to your example of parents living in Africa for a year, move, and have a kid somewhere outside of Africa.

Hey, you came up with the categories! It says African DESCENT, not African born or just plain African. If you want to change the category so Theron matches it I’m all for it. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but I got the impression that you used the word DESCENT so we could get some sub-saharan nubian ladies in this draft? To say Theron is of African descent would be like my blue eyed, dirty blonde, pasty white a55 claiming to be of Native American descent because my daddy’s daddy’s daddy’s daddy’s daddy was born here and had a native wife! What a joke!

Now before any of you Nervous Nelly’s wad your panties up I am making this arguement in a 95% tongue-in-cheek fashion. After all, someone has to be the Al Davis/Jerry Jones of this draft. Yet I do feel I make a valid point. Theron is African but not of African descent, no matter how many generations her family lived there clearly no one in her gene pool mated with the locals.

I used to work with a chick whiter than me that swore up & down she was full-blooded Mohawk.

OK enough with the talk around rules - back to the ladies! Who is on the clock?

Cha_49 unless NYN shows up or his replacement is picked. Perhaps we should just drop that team..

Wow! Seriously? You are wrong. I think you keep missing where I’ve said, ORIGINALLY I did use skin tone/ethinicity as categories. I was told that was a sensitive area, so why don’t we use REGIONS instead. And that’s what we did.

It seems the problem you’re having is with the word “descent”. Maybe I used the word incorrectly. Geez. I was thinking like “decsended from the mountain”. In that method it has nothing to do with race. I believe the word can be used for either describing an ancestry line or a region.

If you really want to get technical about it, Punkrock already mentioned it a few pages ago, everybody on the planet originated from Africa. So technically her ancestors did mate with the locals, just might be that those ancestors were Adam and Eve though.

Let’s throw the categories out the window then because technically the African descent category now covers everyone on the planet!

I poop this!

Too much talky and not enough boobies. Where they are from or color of skin works for me. Now on with the show!

Bickering over somebody’s pick of a South African woman in the African category?

Really?

Only if we use your method.

I think you have reading comprehension problems. The categories represent REGIONS, LAND MASSES, TERRITORIES, CONTINENTS, DIRT. It DOES NOT represent RACES. So no, Africa does not cover the entire planet.

Ha! Good point.
