No, its not. We just started our long recovery after being nearly killed in the offseason. we will be back. Price will get it done.

Anticipated the loss. Just sucks it was from one guy and so many uncontested looks. Dude hit his first 14 shots I think I heard. He had his career night.
We played 2 walk-ons and Blakley. To some point even if our scholarship players are sucking, keep them out there to maybe shoot out of a slump. These are young guys (except for Braxton). Gotta get experience some how.

His night has overshadowed another incredible stat. They shot 82% on their first 9 three pointers.

Losing by 35 at home to cross town rival we have traditionally owned… That is death. We will see if price can bring us back, but I have my generally quiet reservations just like I did with major.
I really really hope Mark works out, but let’s be honest, are we relying on Judy’s stellar track record at hiring men’s basketball coaches? No one else had offered him a gig.
Again, I’m not down on the guy, but I’m not sold that he is surely going to resurrect our program either.
For those that can’t stomach these losses, I highly suggest you turn away and come back in three years. There will be more of these this year.
This year is about three things. 1. Establishing the culture of Charlotte basketball. 2. Identifying if we have any talent on the roster as we add more over the next few years. 3. The education of Coach Price as a head coach and leader of a program.
Wins and losses this year, and likely next, are not nearly as important as those three things. If Price can establish a culture, recruit talent, and climb the learning curve of being a head coach we will be in better shape in 3 years. This is the “price” of starting over as a program.
This is what blowing it up looks like, and as long as there are guys on the court with Charlotte on their shirt representing my school I’ll be supporting them.
The worst thing I saw tonight was Judy Rose with a smile on her face.

Well thanks cbik. Now I’m even more down in the dumps.
I’m sure he will get some bugs but they are going to have to be kick ass to make a difference as freshmen.
What I wouldn’t give for a cam Stephens sitting on the bench right now on his transfer year.
Guys this is going to get worse before it gets better.
I really hate it for our students.
There was a decent crowd there tonight.

One thing I like is Price pulls players when they screw up. He is teaching them to either do it his way or sit down beside him. Major never pulled anyone for a half like Price did tonight. The defense was awful with no effort and he is showing them that they can sit down until they can start putting effort in on defense.
Our program did not die tonight. It died the day Judy extended Major’s contract because she was too stubborn to admit she made a mistake in hiring him.
