TimeWarner adding more HD channels in October

More HD Coming To Time Warner Cable

Time Warner Cable will soon be adding the HD Channels of some of the best programming on television today. On October 1, HD subscribers will get TBS HD (282). And on October 15, Versus/Golf HD (287), A&E HD (283) and MTV HD (284) will be added to the HD channel lineup.

thats good news.

Is anyone else on here a screwed over Adelphia customer?

I can’t take TWC serious until I can get NFL Network.

I want TWC to get MASN & the NFL Network.

Why? You really want those 8 extra games?

NFL Network right now is a scam job. They want to be on standard cable, which would jack up everyone’s rates by $5-10, and even fans of the NFL don’t want it that bad.

If they would accept being on digital cable, then they would already be on TWC.

I would rather have MASN than the NFL network. What good is it after football season is over?

clt says to be a man and get a dish.

I get cable for free.

Not So Fast My Friend. The quality of HD on DirecTV is nowhere near the quality that it is on TWC. When they compress the hell out of the signal to send it up, and then decompress the hell out of it to send it back down to you, alot of the picture quality is lost. When TWC goes to SDV (Switched Digital Video) later this year, it will only improve the signal. As much as I hate to say it, for HD quality anyway, TWC is the better option.

…and if anyone out there in Niner land is lucky enough to have the FIOS stuff, like the Kellswater Bridge subdivision in Kannapolis, well I am very envious of you!

yeah - and now I’m a screwed over town of mooresville customer… #$^#$…

now when im on campus i get TWC - does this mean that my HD tv will be picking up these channels through regular cable? bc i’m getting a good number of HD channels already?

What TWC NEEDS to do is fix their internet if they want me to stay. Last night I was getting 500-700k down… about 10-15% of their advertised rate. This morning, I wake up, and 4926 down, about 96%. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE? I don’t need RR in the morning on saturday at 9:30! I need it when I want to play Halo or do research or download. These people suck.

2 things.

First, I’d bet my paycheck against your paycheck that if I put the two side by side you couldn’t tell the difference.

And second, I got 3 words for you, NFL Sunday Ticket.

Here endeth the lesson.

I canceled my TWC internet this week. It kept dropping and everytime I’d have to reset my modem and router. Huge pain in the butt. Had 4 technician out, none could figure out the issue.

TWC, total garbage.

I think it’s an illegal monopoly that only Direct TV can carry Sunday Ticket. That’s just wrong. Every cable & satellite provider should be able to sell it.

That is what they are advertising here. But they are only going to have about 60. And their quality will be subpar at best. Of course they are saying that they will have up to 100+ channels, so that is how they are getting away with it.

Satellite dishes aren’t the answer for everyone, but they are the answer for some.

Fiber Optic cable is far superior to everything out there. NC is going to be covered in it soon, but AT&T is bringing it as well as TWC. I am stoked for that, because that stuff is golden.

If your TV receives HD channels without a box and there are HD channels broadcast that reach the university area, then yes you will pick up those channels. Otherwise, you will need an HD box, and then you will get HD channels.

haha. DirecTV has a contract with the NFL. That is not a monopoly.

MK, I can’t even get their PHONE system to work correctly for me to cancel my service. I’ve seriously tried to cancel four times now, and I get bounced around from one department to the next, by the automated system, then after 40 or 45 minutes, it will hang up on me. The same thing happened when I called last night.

I don’t want another technician, I don’t want another cable modem, I want affordable service that works right, and Time Warner Cable isn’t providing either.

I just HATE that DSL is the only other option…

It’s not, you can go dial-up.

I can get the one with Speedboster! They call it ‘high speed’ even though its just dial up with some lame software… how can they even advertise that?
