Final AP Poll comes out BEFORE the NCAA Tournament.
I guess that's the answer. It surprised me too to see that Louisville had never been #1.

Yea its a pretty good school, I have a good friend that was a PG there, and got an Engineering degree.

CCNY won both the NCAA and the NIT in the same year. They were a power in the 1950’s.
