Trevante Drye - 2011 SF/PF

Nickerson and Depaul concern me. Came in late . BE. Some family from Chicago and has stated he and his Mom love it there.

I was hoping this kid instead of Dawson since I would rather have a 4 year HS kid with upside than a JUCO.
That concerns me too. However, Dawson and Nickerson have zero relation. Dawson is a PF, Nickerson would be a SF with almost unlimited PT in his freshman year.
Sorry. I meant I would want Drye instead of Dawson for that schollie. From my understanding Drye is an undersized PF but a high effort guy. I like the sound of that better with 4 years of eligibility than a 2 year JUCO.

i agree with this mostly however if, and i am saying if, drye turns out to be mediocre then it is better to have a mediocre playe for two years than for four. in addition, it makes it difficult for us to land a premier(i mean like a four star not a mcd aa) small forward in one of the later classes.

for what its worth, espn.com has him ranked 49th. at his position.

Tis a sign

According to Scout.com he’s going to Tulane:

RT @EvanDanielscout: According to a source, Trey Drye, of Baton Rouge (La.) Glen Oaks, just gave a verbal pledge to Tulane.

Only hurts if we can’t land Nickerson. Drye was no more than a backup option imo.

We need a backup too. We’re losing Wilderness and Dewhurst. I suppose it all depends on where Major wants Sirin to play.
