UC Bearcat transferring to UNCC

any chance we are trading Iti for him?

I cant remember much of Bright playing for UC this season, but I remember seeing him at Mt Zion and thinking that he’s a ridiculously talented athelete.

I’m thinking that he’d make a really good post up guard, a good mid range shooter in a motion offense, and an absolutely devestating finisher on a fast break.

On defense, he’s got the athleticism to guard just about anyone, (like Eddie), but i don’t know if he has the heart or the head to do it.

He reminds me of the type of guys that Pitino stockpiles on his teams, though he isnt the type of shooter that Pitino covets. Still, this would be a nice pickup for us and would bring him back home. Win-win.

I hope it happens.

Let me simply say he does. He is alot like Maxiell. He is quiet. He comes everyday ready to play. He does not make excuses.

Only down side is some of the statements he has made in the past he seems a little cocky. Nothing wrong with a James White type. I think you guys will like him

sign me up… i like him

Sounds like I will love him.

And a great addition to the team (2 years from now).

if this is true (yet to be announced officially by UC), then it sucks for the Bearcats because I enjoyed watching him play. But I guess as a consolation, it’d still be enjoyable to see him beat up on Xavier in a 49er uniform in the future!
:toast:

wow… never thought a Bearcat would transfer here. I’ll take him!

Iti and a six pack PBR and its a done deal!

Just hope Cincy doesn’t tell us to keep Iti and just send the PBR :drink:

I would bet Bright wants to play more on the perimeter and in a high scoring offense. That’s one of the reason why Alexander transferred in. As we all know, Lutz gives his guys a lot of freedom, whether it’s one on one isolation or shooting the three. This helps recruiting a lot. Guys want to play where they can be THE go-to guy and score the basketball.

I like him a lot. I thought he was just unable to make a statement due to who was in front of him in the rotation.

Only one problem with a transfer, they’re always two years away from helping.

I don’t really remember him, but they are saying a lot of good things about him on the Cincy board. Sounds like he has a lot of potential. :toast:

Looks like our starting line-up is getting set for 06-07.

Goldwire
Bright
Alexander
Iti
_______ pg or rebounder or shooter

One attribute of a Coach Lutz team, you usually know the starting line-up at least a year and half in advance.

Jarell Lewis.

Fill in the fifth starter, but it looks again like a NCAA club for 06- 07. Alexander and Bright allow us to avoid a rebuilding year.

05-06 we return one of our best returning players of all-time, Withers, so you have to think we are a NCAA tournament club. Come to think of it, have we ever had a better returning Sr. than Withers ?, maybe not , the only ones in his category were Dinkins, Henry, Jarvis and Demarco (?, not sure Demarco’s jr. year was as good).
