Now with this unbelievebly huge enrollment, imagine what bedlam would ensue for tickets if we had good, winning football and basketball teams. :thinking:

I would imagine the fact that you can live at home and get a good degree at charlotte is playing a lot into this. Not all but a lot.

People just donā€™t have the money or the willingness to pay full freight on room board and tuition as much anymore.

I would love to see a breakdown on where the transfers are coming from.

About 19% of our enrollment lives on campus (roughly 6,245 students). A significant portion of the 81% that live off campus live in adjacent apartments and similar housing. I donā€™t have an exact #, but itā€™s the overwhelming majority of off campus students. The best estimates are upwards of 18,000 additional students who live adjacent to campus.

If you live at home and commute, charlotte is still a great deal.

if you do a track in high school where you graduate with an associates degree, live two years at home while doing your bachelors at charlotte, you can graduate at 20 with only roughly $8,000 in cost. Sure you miss out on the college experience, but honestly the debt experience after college would now outweigh and benefit of the college experience to me.

My stepdaughter did this, transferred to Charlotte and graduated with a bachelorā€™s degree at 21. Now if she would actually use that degree to get a job that would be great.
