I really, really, really hate that helmet for this weekend. One color logo? It looks like some cheap knockoff youâd buy in the bookstore.
The encouraging aspect of this is we seem to be doing well budget wise! 3 years and 3 helmet options for our program with the consideration that each helmet retails for $350 x 60+ helmets.
I would not imagine seeing much change from here for awhile though as we seem to have all the color options (green, white, black) to go in rotation as sets (3 helmets x 3 jerseys x 3 pants).
Just missing Gold at this pointâŚ
The white only logo seems to work for Clemson, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Michigan State, Arkansas, and Alabama. I think that ours âpopsâ as well.
The black helmetâs âglow in the darkâ decal struggles to be understood when viewed even from a relatively short distance. We should be more concerned about the pitiful clarity of the away jerseyâs numbers. That should never have been acceptable.

The difference is:
Clemson, Michigan State and Arkansas have a simple, well known logo that is almost universally displayed in the one color, 2d format-
Alabama has numbers
Oklahoma, Texas A&M have simple. 2 D letters.
Ours logo is
- Nationally unknown
- Very busy
- A 4 color logo in design
The White on green looks like it came from a knock off uniform supplier out of Hong Kong
The Green on Black looks like an ill seagull took a s*** on the side of the helmet.
Like I said before, we had a great canvas and decided to finger paint on it. Its just painfully boring.
Of those six you mentioned:
One has no helmet logo: Alabama
Two are simple letterforms: TAMU and Oklahoma
Two are pure silhouettes: Clemson and Michigan State
One is a more complex silhouette that relies on the helmet color showing through, but is still a single-color design: Arkansas
Ours is a three-color design that has been retrofitted to display in one color. It may pop, but that doesnât mean weâre not overdue for an update.

We are also inconsistent with the way we use the logos on our helmets. The white helmets use the full color logo. They would look terrible with a all green c-pick 49ers logo.
Letâs just get a helmet like this and be done with it.
The green helmets are my new favorite
I agree. I think this is our best look. Fix those horrible numbers on the jerseys and add a full color logo (or even a C-pick logo) to the helmets and this would be an excellent look. The all white logos looked better than I thought, but still seems cheap looking to me.
Great look for Halloween.
