There is a Cabarrus County Alumni Reception at the Speedway Club on November 13th. Unfortunately it conflicts with our first basketball game. With the game moving to 9:00 pm I guess I could go to the Reception from 6-8 and then head over to the game, but I won’t. I will be in the hospitality suite catching up with other alums that I haven’t seen since last year. I guess I just don’t get why the Alumni Association would pick a game night to host an event like this, and until last week they would have both been at the same time.
Nugget, this should be designed to get everyone to the game or be cancelled for treason.
Just a couple more months and then I graduate and will be able to make some of these events!

Young Alumni Basketball Night
The Young Alumni Chapter of the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association cordially invites you to join them for Young Alumni night at Halton Arena. The Charlotte 49ers men’s basketball team will be taking on the Fordham Rams that evening.
The cost is only $10 per person and includes a ticket to the game along with a pre-game dinner/drinks in the hospitality area of Halton Arena.

Last year, everyone was tailgating in the parking lot with food, and I was the only one who actually went to the Alumni thing. I might just stay at the tailgate this year.
Just got an email about all this calling it “the last spring homecoming”. YAY! Next time it will properly be during football season.

Alumni Baseball Afternnon at the Hayes!
Our annual baseball event is set for Saturday April 13th, 2pm. We will be watching the game from the Eric Walker Suite at the Robert & Miriam Hayes Baseball Stadium. Food, drinks, and suite access are all included in the ticket price of $15. Space is limited.

Green & White Homecoming Crawl

Pull out your Green and White gear and get ready to crawl. We will start at Black Finn in the Epicenter, then move to Prohibition, Fox & Hound, and finish at Fitzgeralds. Free food and drinks along the way with great specials at each spot. To top it off, if you make it to each stop, you will get a free Homecoming T-shirt at Fitzgeralds! Let’s show Charlotte our Niner Pride for Homecoming weekend by taking over uptown for this one night.
