Withers at USA Trials

Withers has been guarding well in the interior but getting beat badly on the perimeter. He's not quick enough to guard an athletic 3. McCants went on an on about Curtis's game. Big, strong, rebound and shoot it. Said not many people know him across the country.

The Memphis fans think that Curtis does not deserve to be on the team (ahead of Rod Carney) and that the whole thing is rigged and was predetermined.

Judy Rose must have been among those deciding who made the cut.

Maybe Calapari should go on record saying that "Curtis Withers made the team when Rodney Carney is just as talanted. Curtis Withers took Rodney Carney's spot."

Rodney Carney’s just not that good. Banks is an IDIOT, what could he possibly have better to do??

Hang out with his “gang” of friends?

LoudNProud, my thoughts exactly.

Let’s see, try out for the national U-20 team, probably make it, impress the NBA scouts, raise your stock after what will probably be a solid sophomore season at Memphis, or hang out with your homies?

Geez, what a dork!!!

lets keep in mind this guy goes to Memphis, did ya really expect him to use common sense?

Day 4 reports sound promising. Great quotes from Sampson.

Curtis is IN!!! Guess who’s out??? That’s it for the cuts. Curtis will represent the Under 20 national team for 2004-2005. Quite an honor and accomplishment!!!
