I’ll be working remotely on campus in June and looking for a good place to do so… library, student union, duke hall, etc.? I need a desk with power, wifi and make occasional phone calls. Can anyone suggest a good place?
You can probably reserve a study room at the library pretty easily during the summer sessions. You can reserve a time from the atkins website or look for open rooms at the computer at the front desk when you arrive.
clt recommends smurf village.
As a non-student can you do this? Is there a view from these rooms? Because summer on campus sounds a whole lot better than my office.
I think you may have to go to the library and sign in as a guest to reserve a room. It doesn’t appear you can reserve a room online if you aren’t currently a student.
First floor of the library (Peets coffeeshop level) has been renovated, lots of fiexible workspaces, north wall is all glass for people watching.
WiFi info http://itservices.uncc.edu/student-services/niner-wifi-overview
SAC concourse area also an option.
clt can also recommend chilling at the belk tower.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? I love Peet’s coffee.
Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like I should be fine while my son enjoys soccer camp and I get to hang on campus for a whole week for the first time this century.
