I guess I misunderstood in the discussion yesterday, Lew. If the balls are internal, not external, then her parents wouldn’t know, & they couldn’t have them removed. But just because Miss Semenya has no uterus doesn’t mean she couldn’t be a mother. There’s always adoption.
While I don’t think South Africa can whup anyone in WW3, I do think this whole thing is BS. I can understand why they’ve been screaming racism for a month because no one gave a gender test to those East German girls in the 1970’s that the Commies hopped up on 'roids. They were some manly looking girls, too.
I think it’s disrespectful to Miss Semenya & her parents to call her a boy. She is a girl. She has a vagina, not a penis. Let the GIRL compete in peace in the Olympics. This is gender discrimination.
Maybe finally we can have inter-gender sports. Women want equal rights, play inter-gender soccer, basketball, baseball, etc., may the best person make the team. Women’s Track & Field is a fraud anyway. The girl’s 1st place finisher is usually slower than the guy’s 8th place finisher. Take the best athlete in each sport, period. While most teams would be male dominant to begin with, after a while the girls would learn to compete. Didn’t girls learn to compete in the academic environment? Colleges used to be mostly male, & now the women are over 50%. Chicks can adapt & improve.
If Miss Semenya gets DQ’ed for having masculine attributes, I want the other 7 DQ’ed for being to much of a b*tch to shake the winner’s hand. They would have done it for any other woman.
What really sucks is that if you’re going to have women & men compete separetly is the IAAF will let you get a sex change & compete. When dividing by sex, no man should be able to get his penis chopped off just to run faster against chicks. And no women should get a fake penis so she can beat men’s gymnasts. Integrate both sexes together to compete, or else don’t allow sex changers to compete.

I agree with letting her compete as a woman… I was trying to play Devil’s advocate because it was nice being able to debate on here without it resorting to name-calling and personal attacks.
As far as women competing in men’s sports, I really don’t think it’s a good idea… especially contact sports. I don’t see why a woman couldn’t elect to play with the men, but I don’t think it should be required.

There have been a bunch of females play high school and college football and many females compete in auto racing with the men.

I said if a woman choses to play with the men, then she should be able to… but integrating all sports is a really bad idea, IMO.
Lew might have a little point. I don’t want the LFL integrated with men.
