Yep… I heard the announcers talking about that and mixed it up with Thornton’s injury.
That was a pretty good game though… back and forth until the last couple of minutes. For the people complaining about our inbounds plays, at the end of the game Dayton had to call three timeouts in a row because they could not get the ball in!
X started tanking before Thornton got hurt. His injury just added to it. I don’t know what happened, but they were 10-2 before playing us and 5 - 6 since (and of the 3 full games Thornton has missed they’ve won 2).
St. Joe’s and Temple have good history as does UMass and URI. But I think Dayton and Xavier is the Duke-Carolina of the A10…and I say that because of their rabid fan bases. When those two hook up the emotion of the crowds really help increase the home teams advantage

I think every Dayton home game I’ve been to, over half the student section is wearing “Beat Xavier” shirts.
