Xavier is killing themselves

The team that wiped the floor with us in Halton is long dead and buried now. Dayton just beat them. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/boxscore?gid=200602210157

They must really be hurting.

That is horseshit. Every team thats beat us is so bad… now

Brian Thornton got injured this morning and is out for the season… big blow for X.

Wow, Without Brian Thorton a person could have figured Dayton could pull this one out. This is like what we would be if we lost Curt for the year.

Thorton anchored Xavier and was making a case for A-10 POY.

Any team who loses their best player and isn’t a powerhouse and have people who can step in can expect to start losing.

Who told you he got injured this morning? I saw him break his ankle vs. LaSalle on 2/11. This was their 3rd full game without him.

that is correct.

He must have mistaken of UD Jimmy Binnie which was out of a broken hand. I belived he broke it during the shoot around session this morning.

Yep… I heard the announcers talking about that and mixed it up with Thornton’s injury.

That was a pretty good game though… back and forth until the last couple of minutes. For the people complaining about our inbounds plays, at the end of the game Dayton had to call three timeouts in a row because they could not get the ball in!

X started tanking before Thornton got hurt. His injury just added to it. I don’t know what happened, but they were 10-2 before playing us and 5 - 6 since (and of the 3 full games Thornton has missed they’ve won 2).

It just gets better for the Muskies:

Think Finn got caught stealing more dogs or what?

Oh where, oh where has my little dog gone?

St. Joe’s and Temple have good history as does UMass and URI. But I think Dayton and Xavier is the Duke-Carolina of the A10…and I say that because of their rabid fan bases. When those two hook up the emotion of the crowds really help increase the home teams advantage

I think every Dayton home game I’ve been to, over half the student section is wearing “Beat Xavier” shirts.
