we have 70,000 alumni and 22,000 students and we fill our 9,105 seat basketball arena to about 2/3 capacity on average, do we really need this thread to show that we lack in support from our own base?
maybe she doesnt like college basketball, and maybe she is a HUGE college football fan. We don’t support her needs in that category so she looks elsewhere, so what?

If she is a huge college football fan and selected Crap Hole Hill then I am really scared of her ability to analyze and report on sports…

I mean prior to going to school here… just like most tarheel fans they chose to like them b/c of media coverage whether they live in Texas, Indiana, NY, or Alaska.
I thought it was taken for granted that she went to school here… thus the reason for this thread.
I met Danielle at a 49ers practice before last season. She was a WBTV
intern at the time and was shooting a story on D’Angelo and Leemire.
During the season, I saw her working during at least 10 Niners games and
in one conversation I had with her she claimed she was a big 49ers fan even
though she only attended school at Charlotte for one year.
I also saw a nice in-depth (for local TV) story she reported on the hopes
for Charlotte football. I think you’ll find that she will give the Niners as much
or more coverage than anyone else in local TV. Just like many of the
rest of you, it makes me gag to read that someone who attended Charlotte is
a Chapel Hill fan, but don’t you wish the Niners had some “Walmart” fans?
I think it would be great if people who had absolutely nothing to do with
the University wore Charlotte gear.
It sounds like she does like the Niners after all… but if she didn’t… Where’s the big surprise?
I recall reading on this board on numerous occasions that students did not know when game days were. Also, maybe she does not read past the 1st 4 pages of the sports section or does not read the high school write-ups (which is where Persinger stuck us when he thought he could get by with it this past year).
We were ranked as high as 16th or 17th in the national polls the year she did attend, but my money says only 1 in 10 sports fan in Charlotte and only 1 in 5 UNCC students from that season knew we were ranked. How are we supposed to gain fans when no one knows about us?
Disgusting? Yes… but no one should be surprised at crap like this.
I mean, come on guys, how can you not like The Carolina Tarheels with emphasis on the word The. I thought Ohio State was The Ohio State and Miami was Da U. I learn something new everyday. For those of you who don’t know me, I am definitely joking.
Here’s the funny part. There’s a strong chance that a Va Tech / tarhole football game in Charlote would have move Tech fans than tarhole fans. The same goes for a Clemson-tarhole matchup and definitely a USC-tarhole matchup. The tarholes only drew something like 5000 fans to a basketball game in Charlotte last year when they were ranked top 3 in the country. Something is wrong somewhere.
Wow, my kindof girl. Four colleges throughout the East coast. Damn, what was she doing? We should praise her guys. At least she finally figured out the real school after the fourth try.
