Did you happen to see the pass interference no-call on that play? Maybe he didn’t “possess” the ball, but dammit, there was defensive interference on the play that was not flagged.

Offense actually looked pretty good at times, especially first half and on a couple key second half drives. We simply tried to run almost exclusively in the 2nd half with the lead.

Yeah, like we were playing “not to lose”. Thankfully we didn’t this time.

Ball was stable in his hands when his two feet came down in the endzone. What happens after that means jack.

But they don’t make that call based on a review. I was talking about whether he made the catch or not. There will always be calls that go for and against a team. We managed to not let the refs decide the game and that’s what you have to do to win many times.

Their DB also blatantly pushed off on our receiver on our interception with 3 referees looking right at it and no flag was thrown.

Give Jonathan Cruz a lot of props for yesterday’s win. We made like four FGs all of last season. Cruz hit two FGs yesterday with the last one basically securing the game.

D.O.B.A.

His kicking (FGs and touchbacks) is literally responsible for half of our wins

Also for not being shut out at home by App.

Big win, really great to see the Niners overcome some questionable calls and a sluggish offense to get a W.
Defense bent, but didn’t totally break. Great win, go niners!

We disagreed last week, but I do agree with this. He panics a bit when the first option isn’t there. In fairness, he probably also hears footsteps, which are indeed there. He may be a QB that just needs a better O line.

I agree he just makes bad decisions :man_shrugging: his deep ball into triple coverage was awful at best.

Wish we could find a way to keep Coach Spencer around. Feels like we finally have an FBS defense for the first time.

Hire him as head coach.

That would be a bold move, indeed.

Hattiesburg paper claims Foggie laid an intentional helmet-to-helmet on the Eagle’s QB:

I see a good, clean hit.

USM stayed up high. He got hit. Foggie just stayed high as well.

No way that is a bad hit. He let the QB come to him, and stopped him. Foggie played out of his mind. Proud of the D. Spencer and Adams have them fired up

Will be interesting to see what all the SoMiss “we’ve been playing football for 100 years so all our fans are experts” say about this one.
