11 games left

11 games to go. We have to finish in the top 12 to make the conference tournament. Can we do it? So far we only have 1 conference win so far (which came at home in OT vs. UMASS). Of the 10 conference games remaining, Pomeroy only projects us to win 2 of them. I think we can finish ahead of Fordham, but it will probably come down to a fight between us and GW for that last spot.

I like to think we sneak in, but there is a real chance we don’t even make the A-10 conference tournament. How sad is that? Even if we get in, we’ll more than likely get bounced in the first round… but at least we’d save ourselves the embarrassment of not even getting invited. Injuries or not, there is no excuse for being this bad. This season can’t end soon enough.

Pessimist…

Is it better to make the tournament as a 12 seed than not make the tournament? Sure, you can always catch lightning in a bottle and get on a winning streak, but I think the odds are against you.

For me, if my team is not one of the top 4 seeds in the conference tourney, than I think winning it is a long shot.

I plan on being at all of the remaining home games, but I can’t wait for this season to end.

Is there a monetary incentive for making the conference tourney?

Part of me could care less whether we make the A10 tournament this year or not since we’re probably gonna get owned and embarrassed.

But then again, not making your conference tournament is a far greater embarrassment. It’s unacceptable.

This season…wow.

a lot of games left, if we can find some offense.

it is amazing, we are 2 games out of 5th place, 3 games out of 4th place.

By the way, is the 1st round games at the tourney no longer at tourney site ? Or is that next year, they will be on a campus.

We just dont have any offensive players besides Mack and somtimes Phil & Ian. We effectively have no full fledged guards as Ian isn’t a complete starter caliber player and Dijuan isn’t a guy who looks for his offense, especially with NO depth behind him. Coleman looks and plays like a 3.

How do you win games with no guards? I’m kind of surprised we’re as competitive as we are because our offensive ability is so limited.

This season was over after the first 7 games.

I nominate amnesiac's post for the most optimistic post of the year.

So, we’re only 3 games out of a first round bye…
