I will go back later and make this look a little more legible (mods feel free to edit). I’m posting, right before going home from work. Even with the loss of Scott I think we are looking at a pretty solid roster. If we can get production from our post there’s no reason we can’t challenge for the CUSA title.

What’s the outlook on Bergang?

Like a more talented Dirk.

Good list. You are missing 6’6’’ G/F Austin Ajukwa - transfer from Clemson who will be eligible in the 2nd semester.

If I had to take a random stab at what our lineup will look like next year I would go with:

Starters:

  1. Jon Davis
  2. Braxton
  3. Andrien White
  4. JC Washington
  5. Beans

Bench:
6. Hudson Price
7. Quentin Jackson
8. Anthony Vanhook
9. Austin Ajukwa (2nd semester)
10. Lukas Bergang
11. Najee Garvin

Just a shot in the dark and I wouldn’t be surprised to see us bring in someone to replace Benas in the starting lineup (Laron Smith).

You forgot about braxton

It felt like I was forgetting someone, but have no clue how our leading scorer slipped my mind.

We went from guard deep to pf deep in 1 year it seems.

Let’s say we land smith, do you think we take another fifth year transfer, like the illinois state big, since the scholarship is there, or do you guys think we just give it to aube?

5th year transfers are 1 year low risk “contracts”. id always try to have 2 available per year for these. too bad Uchebo happened to be one and not be here longer.

We would only give to Aube if it would not be used. But then again, I’m not sure last time that was done. I would def be for not wasting them and helping a kid.

I wonder if someone like the illinois state player would sign on, knowing he might be the thirteenth man.

I highly doubt we’d take 2 5th years at this point in time. I would think if we land Smith, we’d take a traditional (sit 1 year then play) transfer.

Unless there’s a late decommit at this stage, I agree with that.

I really don’t see the staff sitting on one scholarship, and I doubt we combine the Illinois State big with Smith I picture the Illinois State big as a back up for if we don’t land Smith. I think we would go after a scoring wing transfer with that last scholarship if we land Smith. Edit: If we do sit on a scholarship there is no doubt in my mind that Aube deserves it.

Aube played real minutes last season, and I would love to see him get a scholarship for his last year, but keep in mind that giving one to him and not the other walk-ons who may work just as hard off the court but do not get the chance to play in games may send a message that Coach Price does not want to send. I am sure they will do what is best.

His contributions were far more significant than several folks on scholarship… would be a nice move IMO

I’d love for it to go to Aube, if open. However, I’d rather us land a talented transfer to help fuel the rebuild.

If the new forwards (and Bergang) improve during next season as the guards did last season, this team could be really good by the end of the year.

Price is doing a great job in rebuilding the basketball program. It’s also great not to have to be concerned about GT for a couple years.

IMO our starters will be

  1. Jon
  2. Brax
  3. White
  4. JC
5 Smith (It think we will land him)

On the bench
QJ (play 1-3)
Ajukwa (play 2-4)
Price (play 2-4)
Beans (play 5)
Vanhook (play 3-4)
Bergang (play 5)
