brutal:unhappy:

dang, even the preseason is rough.

That’s what you get when you win your division. Plenty of Primetime nationwide TV coverage!

Why have the giants come to carolina once? wtf?

And is the NFL Network game still should on local tv? Or are we screwed if we don’t have it?

Why is it that we play at the giants 2 years in a row? wtf?

We play at the Giants again because its the NFC South’s turn to play the NFC East, and it was here in 2006. And last time the NFL Network game was on WCNC.

@ NY Giants

WHEN: Sunday, Dec. 27; 1 p.m. EST.
SERIES RECORD: Series tied, 2-2 (Panthers lead 1-0 in playoffs).

BITS: This is the Panthers’ fourth trip to Giants Stadium to play against the venue’s namesake. All have come in the last six years, with none coming earlier in the year than Dec. 21 … Carolina has averaged 29.0 points per game in its three trips to Giants Stadium …

We’ve played at home against the Giants once according to this… Seems kinda lopsided.

And I know it’s the NFC South’s turn to play the NFC East, but that doesn’t explain why we’re at NY again…

We played at there place in 2003, 2005(playoffs), 2008 and now 2009, they played here in 2006.

in 2003 and 2009 it was the rotation that put us in the meadowlands.

in 2008 it was determined by record. Our 2 record based games were ARZ and @ NYG

the Giants played CAR and @MIN
the Vikes played NYG and @ARZ
the Cards plated MIN and @CAR,

I believe it is based on the ranking of the 4 teams in Nth place in their division

15 games vs. teams with a .500 or better record in 08. It’s gonna be a tough year but I think it will bode well with this team and get it ready for a deep playoff run.

We just have to make sure our front four situation and secondary gets a little help!!

The early bye week is good too. If they start out like crap they can use the off week to shift directions. middle to late bye weeks always distrupt the Panthers good starts and changes nothing in their bad years.

Luckily, the 2nd place teams from 2007, all finished 1st in 2008, which makes the formula really easy to prove. First rank the 4 teams. Second, determine who plays who from the rotation, on a team by team basis. Third, take the 2 teams remaining, If you finished 1st or 4th, you play the best of the 2 on the road, and the worst at home. If you finished 2nd or 3rd, you play the best of the 2 at home, and the worst on the road.

Most of the teams we are playing also have brutal schds. If Panthers can start strong many of the second half games will feature beat up teams with soft spots.

16-0

6-10

18-1, dont worry, the 1 is the monday night game in dallas.

If you think the Panthers having to go to NYG often is bad, check out the Jets having to go to Oakland almost every season. I think 6 of the last 7 times they have played it has been in Oakland.

IT is all how the scheduling formula works, there is no bias in it though.

As for basing toughness of schedule on last seasons records, doesn’t usually work since it is an 8-8 league.

Under the current format you will play every team in your conference once evey 3 years and once at home every 6. Just so happens the Panthers and Giants keep finishing in the same position for one of those 2 position games.

10-6 seems likely with that tough ass schedule. I see at least 5 of those losses coming on the road.

not an easy win on there. No detroit, no oakland, no SF. Why not play the pro bowl starters? hopfully TB will be weaker, NO is always a crap shoot.

There’s not a single week off in the schedule.
