We are idiots. :)) Dirk came in last place without a single vote. I’ve heard rumors that the NBA is considering moving the MVP vote until after the playoffs for reasons exactly like our unscientific poll. Even as well as Dirk played in the playoffs, I’m not sure he would have surpassed Rose. But who knows. Lebron played Rose fairly well, while nobody really shut Dirk down. Dirk finished 6th in the actual NBA vote.

No we aren’t, Rose still deserved the MVP, and Dirk didn’t play like a MVP in the regular season.

MVP is a regular season award in every sport. Then there are post season awards that identify the best player or MVP of the playoffs / finals. Dirk received the award he deserved.

Perhaps. But you have to admit that after watching the playoffs it’s more difficult thinking many players were more valuable to their team than Dirk was. He, Durant and Howard were the only guys that were clearly doubled teamed on defense in the playoffs. Rose got ambushed once he got into the paint. But not played as a straight up double team.

Ha! Not that at all. Just found it interesting, after watching the playoffs, that we didn’t give Dirk a single vote prior to the playoffs. That means I didn’t vote for him either. I voted Rose, Durant and Aldridge.
