apologies for falling behind and not doing a better job of a schedule, lot of things going on right now. Also, tough to get any information about our recruiting.

Tonight I’ll be at Hough High in Cornelius, the local high school. I do not think there are any prospects on Hough, but could be wrong. They play Independence who has 49er target #10 Austin Duke at WR.

Really hope we can land Duke. had 2 scores tonight, one off of a 94 yard kickoff return.

Was fearless cutting across the middle and going up for balls.

This kid is a starter on his team this year and so far, so good. I have not seen his name anywhere yet as a prospect, but he still is interested in coming to Charlotte.

Wife went to Crest, went to 3 of their games last year and their game this past Saturday, Crest has sent many guys to FBS as well to the SEC, it would be nice to get a few from here they are always pretty good.

Ledbetter and Bullard are out of our league but Wright is pretty good also, would be able to play FCS with us I think.

28, at Belmont South Point.[/quote]

Shaping up to be a HUGE game here in Belmont. Big Red has taken out Clover 63-0, Lincolnton (in the Sweet 16) 35-21 and East Gaston 63-6. Burns (3-0 with wins over Crest and Mooresville) comes to Belmont this week and if the Raiders can handle Burns they should coast into the season finale against Crest with a #1 seed theirs to lock in.

Go Big Red!!!

This thread isn’t just for the Sweet 16 anymore!

Nice. I think we’re looking at a pretty solid team this year.

2-0 Start with AL Brown coming to your place!

Maybe Big Red can meet up with you guys in the playoffs!

If so, I’ll come down and tailgate with you. I’ve never tailgated for HS football.

Neither have I. Is there a legal place to do so? or just another DL situation?

The tailgating at South Point games happens on school grounds and in a lot cross street in front of the school (used to be houses there - its about to get turned into a shopping center but is still grass and trees). Tents are out - grills are going. There is some alcohol around but on the VERY DL. Po Po has no problem with people grilling and eating though. Best thing to do is eat some food, dont worry about the alcohol, go to the game and then hit a bar in downtown Belmont.

The kid’s team made it to the first round of the playoffs and he was informed today that he was named all-conference. He’ll be a senior next year. More to come…
