And a new award for “Knucklehead of the Week” goes to UTEP head coach Tim Floyd. After getting a second technical in last Thursday’s game versus LA Tech, Floyd received a one game suspension from C-USA for failure to leave the court in a timely manner (who knew of such a rule?). Jump to Saturday and UTEP sans Floyd is leading woeful Southern Miss 52-28 with 11:39 left in the game. Final score: Southern Miss 63, UTEP 60! Miners go from 2nd place and looking good for a bye in the conference tourney to a three-way tie for 3rd with ODU and WKU. Wow!
