2014 Charlotte Football Practice

These injuries are starting to worry me. I know they’re a part of the game, but it is concerning how many we’ve had before the season even starts.

Some of the depth we have gained over the offseason might be tested early this year. Bolus, Cook, and LaBianca concern me most, but we still have 3 weeks until the 1st game. I would guess Sledge would be at Center if needed. Not sure who would step in at TE/HB for Bolus.

Any update??

In his article on the O-line, David Scott had an injury update at the bottom. He said Bolus and Cook should not be out long. Not sure what that means, but doesn’t sound too serious.

From David Scott…

@Charlotte49ers with injuries at H back with Bolus (shoulder), Murphy (hamstring), LB Cook (hamstring),all should be ready for opener

Great news!

The team scrimmaged for the first time today. Not a whole lot of information in the article, but It does mention that Lambert is open to the possibility of True Freshmen Ford, Wynn, and Thomas all playing this season.

Also, just as a reminder as to who these guys are, here are their recruiting pages. All were highly recruited, and Wynn and Ford had multiple BCS offers. Happy to hear that they are already impressing.

Media Day

The paper said Saturday was the 1st Scrimmage. Nice of the AD Office to NOT advertise so people could show up.

I believe there is another scrimmage tomorrow. I was on campus yesterday, and I heard several members of the team talking about it in the student union. Not sure if it is open to the public.

maybe it was a closed scrimmage?

Saturday Scrimmages are closed to everyone

What a crock of sh*t! Do secret plays during the week.

Saturday scrimmages is a time to show off for the fans. & the school could make $ at the foodstand.

I was just expecting a few more updates and a little more football discussion. I understand our observer beat writer was out covering our womens soccer team.
