This roster just doesnât have the talent. We have sustained too many injuries. Defense just canât stop anyone.
Book is in on Reynolds. Reminds me of Klughâs junior year.
We need to hit the recruiting trail hard. Not one position we need to accept the current talent level. Healy has a tough job moving forward.

we have the foundational pieces for a good team. we have good skill position players, some pretty good offesnive linemen coming back, deluca coming back and whatever guys are redshirting but we need so much help on the lines, we need a better qb, we need to continue to recruit the secondary(healy doing good with that so far). we need depth and we dont have it. our class so far is definitely better than it has ever been but thatâs a low bar. i expect healy to land somewhere around 15, 3 star kids, which should help our depth and talent next season, plus the two xfers but some of those kids need to be able to produce early. we get deluca and bemah back next season from injuries, which helps a lot. honestly, we need some of these kids to transfer to fcs so we can sign guys more capable of playing at this level.

If only we could get Tate Martell from Miami. Hot shot high school QB who had to transition to WR⌠heâd fit the current scheme well. All kidding aside, we need to bring in some big talent to overcome our lack of depth.

Canât fire Healy after 7 games.
But this team is poorly coached. Dumb penalties, blocked punts, out of time outs at the start of the 4th. Those have nothing to do with talent and they are pretty common place. Clean it up.
One thing about it our fcs level players also have fcs level coaches
how do you know the dumb penalties are bc of coaching? they can be because of low football iq, which is a skill.

I donât think itâs coaching. I think itâs talent and/or speed. Our DBâs are consistently getting beat vs. faster and bigger WRâs. You canât fix that with coaching. Maybe scheme, but even that doesnât always get an extra safety where he needs to be on every play.
Poorly coached is probably a bad choice of words. Not well coached is better. Not improving week over week.
We did make some adjustments on D, we were much better vs the run. There were too many penalties on both sides of the ball to overcome.

iâm not saying th coaching has been good, or bad, itâs hard to tell given our lack of talent but like someone explained to me at one point, improvement is not necessarily linear. there are progressions and regressions throughout the season. the lack of depth and injuries might be a reason why we donât appear to be imporving.

Charlotte is now 2-5 on the season,but all is not lost.Our next five games are against North Texas 3-4,Middle Tenn 2-5,UTEP 1-5,Marshall 4-3,and Old Dominion 1-6. I see some wins in our near future.Is it possible to go 4-1 against this remaining schedule and still get a bowl bid?
