Unfortunately this was the first home game I have missed this season due to family obligations out of town. However, I watched it on esp+. What a game! First half started slow with screen pass after screen pass, the defense looked off, etc. The second half was just exciting football! Leaps and bounds over last years team. I think the next few years will be fun to watch, especially with the direction we are going now. Go Niners!
Glad to be proven wrong on this!
Our first stand-alone C-USA Offensive player of the week. Klugh was a co-offensive PoW in 2016.
Pretty impressive company he’s keeping there.
Funny, I remembered the person bidding on the Charlotte trip not winning.
Been to many a gravediggers ball - always had a good time, some nights were better than others.

First time I’ve had a chance to sit and reflect on this game.
Some observation, some not.
1). Littrell blew this game in a Lambert versus FIU kind of way. And it didn’t matter. Not running on third down with 1:20 saved us a time out (which we never used). Attempting the field goal was nuts. If that misses, we have 1:13, with a to in hand, to go 35 yards and a look at it with Cruz.
2). Cam Johnson interfered with Victor on the touchdown. This no call was up there with the one the refs missed on Kofa’s td catch (no catch) against USM. If Vic doesn’t hold on, I think we are bitching about that no call this morning.

it looks like we ran a lot of three TE stuff on Saturday. We had a ton of guys blocking on Reynolds TD run. Number 25 (I think). Got jumped our if his jock by Reynolds on the td run. I’d love to hear the feedback in the UNT film room this morning.

Tre Goode and Christian Roberson got their first catches as Niners on Saturday. I’m assuming Elder is still banged up?

and now the disturbing facts: we have given up 56 points in the last 2:00 of the first half this season. Either exception of WKU (who missed a 41 yard field goal with 17 seconds left) every team we have played has scored a touchdown on us in the last two minutes. Adding to this, we have given up 42 points in the last minute of the first half, and 28 points in the last :30 seconds of the first half. This has got to be demoralizing.
It seem that this week we were in some sort of man to man. I dislike the Lambert’s habit of DB’s playing 10 yards of the ball, but it seems like this isn’t a terrible strategy.
It seems that at the end of the half, you should force the ball to the middle and cut off the sidelines. Osborne was beaten 1 on 1 down the sideline. I can’t imagine that I’m the only one noticing this and hope this gets fixed.
It seems we need to start quicker and end the first half better. I am not sure what causes us to lose focus in the last couple of minutes of the first half, but we take ourselves out of some games in those last few minutes.
Spot on
Charlotte vs North Texas third item under “Games of the Week”:
SVP and Stanford Steve think we are in the Big South conference
My words when Tucker caught the TD pass: “Did he really catch that?”
Mine were “Holy *&%$!” haha.
Mine was AHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Mine was “being at the World Series is fun, but I seems that I missed a loss. This Healy fellow might not be that great.
Baby Shark, again? Damn, Nats fans, y’all suck.
I feel my Twitter machine is incorrect as we now have the ball back with a minute left? Charlotte wins? Heck yeah!!!
Baby shark, again”
