Why don’t we play Winthrop more frequently?
If we had, there would have been a lot of losses for us over the past 15 years.
We play @ Davidson on 12/15
The schedule is out
Our OOC games not being played in Knoxville are pretty weak, I think we go 6-3. For our conference games we play 5 of the 8 toughest games in Halton, which doesn’t hurt, but I think we win 12. 18 wins overall. If transfers don’t bite us again this year I expect to finally clear 20 next year for the first time since 2012-13 under Alan Major–our last successful coach!
Not sure why that tweet isn’t rendering above…
Watching this for news about TV for our game.
Here is a UT preview (apologies for the ads):
Fulkerson and Pons are studs. They have guys coming off the bench that would probably start for us. This is going to be a really tough opener.
Game is gonna be on the SEC Network. 8pm tip on 11/25. Nice.
Another note:
The Vols will host up to 4,000 fans at Thompson-Boling Arena this season, with six non-conference home games and nine SEC home games.
Good to hear the hoops coaches on Niners Live tonight.

What did they say?
Following up on NA’s post above, the game against the Vols is on the SEC Network, and the game against VCU is on ESPN2. For those Spectrum viewers in the Charlotte area, the SEC Network is 384.
Now I just need to figure out how I make my FIL and BIL who don’t care about sports, watch this while they sit on my sofa, after eating my food, and not get in trouble with Mrs Nugget. :sigh:
Sources: Several Division 1 programs who are struggling to fill their non-conference schedule are debating playing non Division 1 opponents to fill gaps. Many view it as a pseudo scrimmage or exhibition, which are not permitted this year.

TN is absolutely loaded this year. Not seeing a competitive game, not at all.
I think our team might surprise you.
