The only open weekend between now and the C-USA tournament is Fri/Sat March 5-6, but that is just days before the tournament begins on Wednesday March 10. How are we going to reschedule the Marshall games–will we make them mid-week? Four games in one week? And if there is a second Covid “postponement” what then? I think the only reason they are not saying the Charlotte-Marshall game was cancelled is that it might be possible to redirect both teams later if both have opponents that cannot play on the same weekend. Slim chance of that probably.

You’d think with all the games postponed last weekend, that this coming weekend there would be a conference team in the same position as us. In other words, a healthy team with a covid ridden opponent. Seems like they could match up the healthy teams this weekend, thereby freeing up a later weekend for makeup games.
It does appear only 2 conference games were canceled last week. We may be the only game canceled.

Couple of notes about Davidson’s 61-48 win over Duquesne Tuesday night:
Marked Bob McKillop’s 600th win as a collegiate coach, all with the Cats.
Also first game in which the nomadic Ryan Murphy played significant minutes for the Dukes after limited action in a couple of contests vs GW. The former Niner had 5 pts and 3 rebs off the bench.
Added a game with Belmont Abbey this weekend!!

This is great. Nothing to get too excited about, but we get to watch them play, and hopefully we get to see some new guys get live game experience in the system.
