2020-21 Men’s Basketball Schedule & Opponents

Not sure I’d push for a waiver at this point with all of the uncertainty of even having a season.

I think the NCAA pretty much gave all athletes a waiver this year if requested.

i thought so too but his name is on the roster. i just assumed that he managed to get the waiver to play

Your name will be on the roster even if you have to sit out.

Still haven’t seen anything definitive about Cannon’s status. Nothing in the recent David Scott interview with Sanchez and McKillop as well as nothing from Rothstein, Goodman, etc. His name will be on roster either way.

In latest update on A-10, Rothstein rankings of Niner foes:

#3 Dayton
#7 Davidson
#11 GW

Davidson is his “sleeper” pick. UD’s Jalen Crutcher makes first team all conference, while Cats’ Samuel Mennenga listed as an impact freshman.

In his American preview, Rothstein has ECU #9. Pirates are his sleeper pick, mainly due to Jayden Gardner. Latter on the first team, while teammate JJ Miles among those tabbed a “Breakout Player” in the AAC.

That can’t be right @run49er , Wol-Fhart said ECU will be national contenders this year.

I thought that was ECU football?

Great article on CBS Sports about non-conference schedules, a certain someone from NN.N is sited in the article as well!

In his ACC preview, Rothstein has potential Myrtle Beach Invitational foe Pitt #12. John Hugley IV an under the radar frosh, while Ithiel Horton an impact transfer.

Which games do we know we have this year?

Myrtle Beach tournament
@ Davidson
ECU
App
JMU
GaSt
UNCW

What else do we know?

With the season looking like a November 25th start, will be interesting to see what happens to those games scheduled before that date. Not to mention the whole idea of “bubble sites” like Winthrop and Asheville for OOC play etc.

Per Rothstein:

Obtained another of our contracts yesterday from the opposing institution, we’ve scheduled South Carolina State for December 1st, but all dates could be thrown in the blender once NCAA Oversight committee releases plan.

Per Goodman:

From reading Goodman and Norlander, in addition to a November 21st regular season start for hoops, also looks like Wednesday’s vote will include:

  • October 10th official start for practice

  • Recommendation of at least 4 OOC games

  • 28 game maximum

  • No exhibitions or closed scrimmages
