Fire King Rice!
Maybe missing some players?
they shot just 28 percent from the floor and missed all but two of 20 attempts from 3-point range, while allowing Marist to hit at 58 percent, connecting on 10 from beyond the arc.
From the recaps, reads like Monmouth just got taken to the proverbial woodshed. Box score shows 13 players saw the court, with leading scorer George Papas (15.5 ppg) held to 5 points. As could be expected, Coach Rice none too pleased in his comments about the team’s performance.
Next game vs MAAC leader Iona, so Hawks need to rediscover their mojo or could be another wipeout.

I hate to say it… but Davidson is looking solid this year. Fourteen in a row. Rebounding and 3pt shooting were great last night at VCU.
Neverless, Duck them.
Davidson is a superior men’s hoops program compared to whatever it is they’re trying to do in University City. I’ve never seen a program nose dive into the abyss like men’s hoops - just maddening. #sigh
Its all cyclical…we were significantly better than Davidson for 30+ years, they have been better for the last 10 years and yet they have won an NCAA tournament game in one year since the early 70s. They aren’t world beaters.
Their success might be cyclical but I’m not convinced we aren’t going to be garbage forever at this point
At this point, i can’t argue with you on that.

Situational awareness: Davidson men’s basketball team’s 14-game winning streak is the best in the nation. ( Axios )

Hey Fordham, Ram their asses. FU!
Speaking of FIU, see that former player Antonio Daye Jr. from Durham has left Fordham. Co-leading scorer for the Bronx Rams this season at 16.8 ppg after averaging 17.1 ppg for FIU in 2020-21. Should make Davidson’s game a bit easier at Rose Hill tomorrow as Cats just have to focus defensively on Darius Quisenberry (16.8 ppg) instead of both he and Daye.
