Monmouth is 18-9, 10-6 in their league, trailing Iona 22-5 (14-2). Just 123 in the last NET ratings. I expected a little more from them, to be honest. Iona is just 70 with that gaudy record.
Looks like the NCAA has found their metric to replace the RPI. Back to penalizing the little guys and propping up P5 mediocrity.

What’s their SOS against the others? That’s important right? How do you compare a 30-0 team with a 200 SOS vs a 20-10 team with a 20 SOS? I don’t know Iona SOS but I’m guessing it’s not too great.
Or I guess if you showed me a stat which shows the bias other than just record I would be more accepting of your statement.
Monmouth having a good season but definitely some head scratching losses that have hurt their NET, especially the two drubbings by Marist, the home L to Niagara, etc. Were competitive in both matchups with Iona, but two more losses. Such is life in the MAAC - win the regular season and assured of an NIT bid but only punching ticket for NCAAT by winning the league tournament.
