I gotta say… that looks like easy money on duke. Hopefully Vegas knows more than I do and my memory of last year.
Looks like Jaxon Hughes is beating out Arkansas transfer Chibueze Nwana for the LT spot.
Chris Reynolds and the new guys Coach added to the program. Before his injury, Reynolds’ accuracy under pressure was incredible to watch. After App, he was struggling. Outside of us, Duke didn’t exactly light up Covid 2020, but my optimism is based on our team, not Duke. All our team needs to do is do their jobs to a man and not turn the ball over. And, hit a man every chance they get. Football teams change so much from year to year that I don’t put much weight into accurate projections for teams like ours, especially under the current head coach. If anything, Covid 2020 was a helpful redshirt year for the entire returning team where they should have gotten stronger, smarter, older and healthier. Factor in some very intriguing new talent and all these things make me certainly optimistic.

Some random guy in Vegas looks at the lines, sees Duke as a 7 point favorite on the road, thinks to himself “Duke sucks! Easy money!” and puts his money on us. Since Duke is historically pretty bad, that random guy in Vegas isn’t alone. The sportsbook, on the other hand, sees a lot more money on Charlotte +7.5 than on Duke -7.5, so they slide the line over to entice more Duke bets.
Anyone care to look and compare the height and weight of our lineman from this year to last? Size isn’t everything but it is something. Hopefully we are bulking up on the lines.
