Agree NA. UConn wins 7 out of 10 times but FAU had a toughness about them that was special. They also had the ability to hit big shots when needed and a lot of different players to do it with. FAU had a better chance of scoring with UConn and could match their runs. Look at the losses of FAU and the scores. They were always in it. The player of the game last night was the back up 5 the 7’2" kid. He was a difference maker when he was in. FAU had a better combo at the 5 with Golden and the big kid that was a back up. FAU would have brought UConns bigs further out on the floor and spaced them out.
Maybe but I saw SD St get 5 or 6 offensive rebounds in crunch time against FAU. Couldn’t do that to UConn so by transitive crap leads me to think UConn woulda beat them about like they did SD St
I think UConn was a machine and on a mission. I just think FAU would have battled them harder.
Also that 10? 11? Minute drought in the first half by SDSU was decisive. I think FAU is much better at avoiding those.
On sports radio today, they asked who watched the championship game and who did not. Not many texted in, but the ones that did said they found something else to do. Typical UNC, Duke, and ACC fans in general. There was limit d discussion of the game because they knew that nobody cared. My question is, if you are a basketball fan then why not watch? If you are an ACC fan, I guess you had no reason to watch. I personally loved seeing no ACC team in the Final game. I hope this parity continues. I love it when ACC fans have nothing to brag about on sports radio. This was a magical March Madness.
Was listening to the Al Wallace Show today and he commented he would have preferred to have seen the top two teams in the final. This year that would have been an Alabama vs Houston matchup. Wonder if he really meant that? At least he admitted he didn’t pay attention to the regular season.
Sports media (reflecting American society these days):
“Aristocracy > Meritocracy”
The name on the jersey is more important than the accomplishments of the team / player.
I hate it.
Just laughing at the absurdity. 80+ schools?
clt has heard from the following schools
uncp
furman
uconn
bama
binghamton
santos university
nebraska state
west dakota
Are there no longer any players graduating High School?
Yes, there are. But since we’re in midst of the 60 day window for entering the portal, it’s overshadowing everything else.
Thanks for sharing that, NIT did pretty well.

Just read Luke DeCock’s N&O piece about UConn starting PG Tristen Newton. Only had one offer coming out of high school in El Paso so ended up at ECU. Scored 25 vs UConn as a frosh and Dan Hurley remembered that when Newton entered the portal last year. If there was a game MVP award specifically for the NCAAT final, probably would have been the winner with 19 pts, 10 rebs, 4 asts and 2 stls.
