I avoid commenting during the games, the highs and lows are too much for me to be reasonable. But that win last night was a pleasure to watch. I thought it would get ugly as Davidson built that 10-point lead, but the Niners fought backâŚsatisfying to watch. And watching the game winner go inâŚwowâŚalmost as sweet as Plavich against Indiana all those years ago.
Gotta say too, Davidson fans around me, were gracious and niceâŚhasnât always been the case.

So funny, I said the exact same thing followed immediately by two middle fingers.
My fingers were simultaneous with the yelling at the TV.
Iâve been going back and watching all the reactions of everyone in that video. Hours of entertainment.
Great win. Thought we were done down by 11 but this team hasnât shown any quit. Last year we lose by 18.
Need to finish our in state business on Friday and kicked the unearned swagger from App.

Game winning shots are always exciting but I think what makes this one especially satisfying is the way it went down and the accompanying emotions for the ones that were watching real time (in-person or streaming).
Down 1 with the ball and 3 seconds differential in shot/game clock.
âWe just need to hold for last shot and try to win this thing!â 
Drive and get fouled with 12 seconds remaining.
âWhy did we leave so much time on the clockâ 
âOk we just need to make both, get up one and hold on defenseâ
We miss front end of 2 shots
âOh no, we canât hit FTs!â
âOk, so weâll tie and hold them for second OTâ
We miss second consecutive FT
âCrap well thatâs itâ

Amazing how fine a line it is. Had we missed that final shot last night, our conversations would be totally different.
Winning is such a fine margin. An earlier point is that last year we may have lost this game by 20 but this year we turned it into a win. Great point.
Success breeds success and this win was definitely a success. Letâs build on this and gain momentum.

Might have already been mentioned, but lost in the excitement of the buzzer beater is the absolutely insane half court alley oop from Patterson to Folkes. That really could have been a SC Top Ten play as well.
This team is hard to watch at times, but damn they are tough and donât quit. I thought we were done when we fell down by 11 with ten to go. Most every previous Niners team of the last 15 years wouldâve folded. But these guys battle.
