2022-23 MBB - Charlotte @ UAB, 12/22 7:30 PM ESPN+

I like to think of my Meg Ryan with angels wings, playing lead guitar for Lynard Skynard and I’m in the front row, and I’m hammered drunk

Sounds kind of like L o L a Lola

I overestimated Sanchez. Another site I just viewed states Sanchez is only 14 games away from 0.500. Is it accurate to list Sanchez win loss record as 50-64 ? If so, how many of his 64 losses were the fault of bad ref’s? If Sanchez had favorable Ref’s, how much closer to 0.500 would he be?

75% closer.

I am not sure it cost us the game but I can tell you the officiating last night was awful. The other team was rewarded for faking.

It was indeed 49ER-----the most one-sided I have seen in quite a while. Looked like an NBA game.

We need Braswell to get back to what he was last year. he did not miss many open 3s last year. If he hit a couple of those open 3s last night, it would have been a different game. We will need him, so hoping he keeps taking the shot.

Braswell has improved taking the ball to the hole this year. Defensively, he may get beat, but he recovers better than anyone I have seen.

Agree about referee impact. UAB made their first half run when the refs were swallowing their whistle on our end, calling us for light fouls on the other end. The calls evened up in the second half, Niners got to the FT line, and then Charlotte pulled back within 6 or so. Then it shifts again and they pull back ahead. Refs don’t always change a game this much, but the impact in this game seemed particularly obvious. It’s difficult to stop them from getting easy baskets if you have to avoid even touching them, while they’re allowed to bump and grab at the other end. If we can get them on a neutral (or home) court, think the outcome is different.

Offense was pretty bad at points, but several of the turnovers and slow downs were because they were pushing / bumping us enough to throw our guys off balance, with no calls. Also had a few key misses on wide open threes (thanks to some nice ball movement) and layups at critical moments in the game. Hopefully we can get everyone back healthy and win some conference games coming up.

Every time I think of Andy Kennedy, I think of him being on staff with Huggins at Cincinnati. :face_vomiting:

Im older. I also remember Andy Kennedy as a player at UAB. Not incredible, but i really just thought of him as a ā€œshooterā€.
