He said when he first got on Twitter when you didnāt have a profile photo it gave you a generic Egg as a profile photo. He said his kids gave him crap about not having a photo so he took a picture of an egg and made it his photo.
Nice win last night with huge implications on the conference tournament.
Offense was rocky at times but we did manage to get some back door cuts and hit the lay ups when needed and did not rely on 3s to get the win. Patterson was so good down the stretch and seems to be taking the move to the bench well.
Defense was very good the entire game. Some frustrating possessions where they got open or just hit a hard shot after guarding them well for 25+ seconds but overall a really good effort to hold them to such a low shooting percentage, especially after the drubbing we took on their court.
Disappointed in the crowd size but not surprised. Could really use some more ācheerleadersā on Saturday to come out and support the team.
Anybody know what happened to Berry? He has just disappeared these last few games.
Buried (Berryād?) on the bench.
Sanchez has both changed and shortened his rotation. Barring fouls or injury I think we are locked in for how we are going to play the rest of the season. It looks like Graves is the last man off the bench.
Itās easy to forget not just about Berry, but we also have Braswell, Jallow, and Rich Rolf on the bench not playing.
Both unbelievable and believable all at the same time.
That was a pretty good La Salle team. Ended up being a Sweet 16 squad.
That was a damn good win. Maybe the best of Sanchezās tenure here?
I maintain that North Texas should still be in the NCAA tournament, and if the committee gets over themselves and lets them in even if they donāt win in Frisco, they will very likely beat someone. But there is no way in hell the committee will do the right thing.
The tough part is that the committee would likely bring them in as like a 13 seed, which would be unfair to both them AND the #4 seed they paired them against. The committee has routinely underseeded CUSA teams ever since we got back in the league which is why this league has won so many early round games against higher rated teams.
Lunardi had North Texas on the extreme fringes in his latest bracketology but our win last night probably knocked them off completely. Still, agree that the Mean Green could compete in the Big Dance.
That is frustrating to look at. We easily should be in the top 4.
Yup the UTEP game at home and the FIU road game should have been wins, we donāt know how to close out games, maybe we are getting better at it??
This season sure has had itās ups and downs, after we lose at UAB with our team being sick we all thought we could compete for the regular season titleā¦
After the FAU game I thought we were going to be the 9th seed.
Who knows how good we areā¦
Patterson was a beast at the end. That is his game and hard to stop. I will say this about Patterson. I have never seen a player use his off hand as much to push off and hook people and not get called. It is almost everytime. Lol. Kid has it down to a science and not get whistled.
From a basketball perspective I am happy that the top 3 programs in CUSA are moving with us. And 5 of the top 6 (including us). If these schools can maintain this run and throw in some of the traditional successful AAC programs such as Memphis, Tulane and Temple , we may have a decent basketball league too.
clt says there has to be a better option than graves. he is over-matched as a freshman
I still believe if JY was still here, with the rest of the team improvements, that we would have 5 more wins already and be top 3 in conference.
Possibly as he could close games, but the ball movement has been way better with him not being here.
Graves and Berry are both way quicker than Gipson and Patterson though. They have the first step speed to beat their defender and get to the basket. If we can develop either or both of them that would help tremendously. Folkes is almost but not quite as fast as them, though he is a helluva lot stronger and more physical.
but they will put in a Chapel Hill team that is .500 in their conference.
