2022-23 Niner Basketball ๐Ÿ€

Niners and Blazers headed to OT tied 57 all.

NOTE: scoreboard Iโ€™m monitoring initially showed UTEP by 1 at the end of regulation but that was incorrect.

See that Blazer Eric Gaines had the opportunity to win the game at the end of regulation after being fouled on a 3 point attempt. Hit just one FT.

BTW, gotta think Big Blue Nation not the only fanbase unhappy with their head coach in the Bluegrass State after what happened in Bowling Green tonight.

Well, UTEP misses FTs that could have cemented a win but instead headed to a second OT knotted at 68 apiece.

Been watching since OT started.

Thought UTEP had stopped Jelly in OT1, and had it won. Nice rally by UAB.

There are not gonna be many easy outs this year in league play.

Side note:I like UTEPโ€™s road orange unis. Very understated. Clean.

UTEP looks to have collapsed in the final minute of OT2. UAB survives again.

See that we dropped 5 spots in the NET to #74.

Next up: #291 FIU and #10 FAU.

2 point win at home didnโ€™t help. I wish I knew where a 15+ point win would have us.

Donโ€™t care how or by how much, just keep winning.

Wins are great, but since we arenโ€™t entirely our of at large consideration range with a decent NET, margin of victory matters. The better the margin of victory, the better our NET will be. If we were like 200 in NET right now, it wouldnโ€™t really matter, but if we have a lot of blowout wins, and no bad losses, there is a shot it could put us in at large contention.

That said, given how bad we have been for so long, just getting wins is also nice, so Iโ€™m not complaining.

With our basketball philosophy and system under Sanchez, an 8-10 point win is considered a blowout, but the powers that be want to see 20+ blowouts
