2022 College Football šŸˆ

Not every SEC school is paying insane salaries.

I suppose we aren’t the only school that hands out extensions for the achievement of ā€œprogressā€, then.

FIU’s four wins in 2022. One point win over FCS Bryant University in OT, New Mexico State 21-7, Charlotte (a team that grossly mismanaged under Healy and basically didn’t even show up for the game), and LA Tech in double OT. Well earned extension there.

If I’m not mistaken…it was his first year and nearly the entire roster left. It was almost all transfers in their 1st year together…just a big band aid effort just to put a team on the field. Picked dead last in CUSA and probably expected to go winless.

Whether or not it’s extension worthy…who knows… but it was a hell of a job.

I’m in the same boat, I don’t know if I would have extended him but I thought FIU would go 1-11 or 0-12. He did an excellent job all things considered.

Healy must have thought the same thing because he clearly didn’t feel the need to properly prepare the team for that game and it showed, and the next morning he supposedly learned some stuff about his job status on Twitter…go figure!

Has Healy found a job yet?

Haven’t seen a thing yet. Wondering how motivated he is.

And, of course, the NCAA denies the transfer of a Manhattan hoopster in spite of the fact the school fired its coach days before the season started.
