He is probably their best player, but last year we shut down his scoring (at least) our 2 matchups:
He had only 2 pts and 4 rebs (but 5 assists and 5 blocks) in 36 minutes in a 1/26 Niner loss at Rice, and 4 pts, 7 rebs, and 4 assists in 34 minutes in a Niner win on 2/25 in Charlotte.
I’m concerned we’re only favored by 2 points.
Travis Evee is a very good player and scorer! After his freshman year at VMI he has played a ton of games for Rice! This is his 5th season averaging double figures!
Win by 15 and shut them up.
Fortunately for us, Quincy Olivari transferred to Xavier, where he’s now the Musketeers’ leading scorer. Had 26 pts and 10 rebs in Rice’s 65-63 home win over the Niners last season.
Rice guards Travis Evee (16.4 ppg) and Mekhi Mason (13.2 ppg) are the players we need to focus on tonight.
Vegas knew something we didn’t.

I haven’t seen the last 3 games and we won. I watch this one, and we’re uh…not playing well. If we’re still stinking it up at halftime, I will take one for the team and quit watching….
