Maybe we are talking two different sequences. The held ball created the out of bounds play which they ran the baseline on a spot inbound, and it was a turnover and gave us the ball back without them ever possessing the ball. At least thatās how I remember it but maybe thatās not correct.
Loss sucked but it was a good game. Feel like Davidson beat us instead of us losing the game.
Fearne is doing a good job with the pieces he has.
If he keeps this group playing together and getting better, you have to give him a chance to see what he can do. He can obvioulsy coach.
HA HA. Different sequence, but same argument. Running the baseline on a spot throw is traveling. To me, that constitues that a possession just as if they had inbounded and then traveled, Doesnāt matter for sure and didnāt affect the game.
Have you considered that the arrow was supposed to change and our crack scorekeepers just didnāt push the button?
Interesting read for sureā¦I really never knew.
Iāve been out of town on a work trip, but I was able to catch the 2nd half of the game. I thought we played fairly well, but Jackson was getting killed by their center. I think Fearne has done a great job so far, but I believe he made a mistake during this game. At about the 4ish minute mark he put Jackson back in the game and the comeback that was going on was immediately stopped. We shouldāve left Milicic at Center because he played better defense on their center. Davidsonās center was basically a PF and we really needed the better mobility of Milicic than Jackson. I think that decision was what lost us the game.
Again I like Fearne and Jackson, but I think this decision was what changed the game.
I felt like we had a physical advantage and that we could have gotten to the basket any time we wanted to. We didnāt take much advantage of that after our 11-0 run to start the game, and started settling for jumpers. Then it turned into a 3-point contest which they clearly won.
Their big man was killing us from the outside, we had to go a bit smaller to try and stop. Jackson was not quick enough nor had the stamina to chase him through screens out top.
we did score a lot inside all night but we were hitting twos and they were dropping threes
Davidsonās Bobby Durkin among those freshmen recognized by Jamie Shaw. And, of course, his 18 pt performance on Wednesday night mentioned:
