Yes, but preference is given to P5 schools.

NIT AAC order; USF (if no NCAA bid), Memphis & UNT ( didnt they win it last year?).
Will they take all 3 ? Or just 2

Hardaway is on record that they will not accept NIT if offered.

I think it really depends how many p5 schools turn it down. Some have already said they will to focus on the portal.

The NIT has dug its own grave. Wanted more money so it started inviting bad teams from rich conferences which had no business being in the NIT. Instead of inviting the best of the rest. Now it’s looked at as a joke even by those rich conferences so they are turning down invites. It’s a shame they decided to chase money instead of the best basketball.
