Someone help me understand how this new Modelo Niner Club works. It says it includes general admission tickets to the game, but why not just stay in the club seating, be in the shade and have 50 yard line viewing??
Sounds like the doc will be like the one currently up on ESPN+ about UCF…
It is ok, you should all watch some of it, shows what the teams and personalities go thru week to week.
Made it thru a few of the episodes, but each week’s preparation etc…, became quite redundant.
Something tells me that biff and our cast of characters will be way more interesting
So I’m starting to get to the point where I feel comfortable predicting the season.
The O/U, which was 2.5, is 3.5 now. I still think it’s free money. Here is why:
We have 6 more winnable games (to varying degrees):
SC State, Ga State, Navy, @USF, @Tulsa, Rice. 4 at home, 2 road. The SC St game has to be a gimme W, or the rest is moot. That means to get to 4 Wins, the team just has to go 3-2 in those other 5 games, 3 of which will be at home. Bowl eligibility would be winning all 6, or going maybe 5-1 and then stealing a win over Memphis, @ECU, FAU, or even @SMU (might be the best team we play all regular season). Forget our 2 P5 road games. They don’t matter. Pure house money.
So yeah, I think 3-2 against the bottom half of our schedule is very doable, and 4-2 or 5-1 isn’t out of the question. Do the latter and we are bowling. We win anything above that line and we are almost a lock to bowl.
Upon my second Danville Caesars visit, the line moved from -140 to -150 for over 3 wins, meaning that money is flowing on the over.
The ticket is for the Club, that is your seat. It is cheaper if you already have season tickets.
clt says the modelo club better have a lot of limes ready
So your season ticket holder seats will be unoccupied?
Not necessarily. I inquired and the price is cheaper since I have tickets. I could go to the club and likely sit there too but why would I do that when I have seats? Going into the shade to get a drink would be nice but it’s not going to lure me away from my seat. I think the aim is to get people to the game that want a premium experience and do not have seats (i.e future suite owners) vs. luring current season ticket owners to change.
If I had access to the field house for pre-game, I can stay there too vs going to my seats but very few people do that and see it the same way with this club.
I was curious as a season ticket holder if it was worth it. I haven’t called yet and I am happy with my seats. I might give it a try at some point.
It’s not super important but it is annoying. I keep seeing places say this will be our tenth season. While the 10 year anniversary of our first game is coming up, this will be our eleventh season.
I cannot find the email now, but pretty sure it was several hundred dollars on top of my ticket costs so not worth it in my mind. Interested to see what it looks like and if it draws in new fans (both individuals and companies) then it worked!
To me it only makes sense for those who don’t have season tickets already. Trying, I guess, to get some new fans inside who want a higher level of experience.

3:35pm - Next block apparently. Good discussion topic.
Interesting in how this applies in preparing for us, i guess we will start showing off what we do against SC state. Interesting how it mentions preparing based on the OC & DC, but ours have no play calling experience as mentioned earlier.
We will have the advantage of ‘surprise’ over the first few weeks of opponents
.
This is going to be fun as we are all really not sure what we are getting, is it the Michigan offense (with the additional use of a mobile qb?) & defensive schemes, not clear yet based on what we have heard.
Other items to watch for is who will be managing the strategy on how to play the Clock at the end of halfs & games and whom brings that experience to the table.
