This evening has been a great time for me. Since Iām not renewing my 10 years of 4 FSLās next season, I didnāt give two $hits of what happened tonight. I actually just checked in for giggles since I forget we were even playing and wasnāt surprised or upset at all. This year has been an embarrassment and I donāt expect much different next season. Unless Biff is indeed a silver tongue devil, we will lose any recruits worth keeping and will be able to recruit the ones that will maintain status quo. It is sad to say, but I personally think this drowned victim has no possibility of resuscitation. I say drowned since we have never been afloat. We lucked into one successful season and the rest have been nonexistent. I donāt see this program ever being where we all want it to be which is to be ultra competitive in conference and bowling every year.
Itās so depressing to think this way but nothing has shown me otherwise. First year coach (we heard this 3 times), give the team time (we have heard this for 10 years), we are a young program (so are other schools that have seem to find success), we are in a new conference (so are other schools that have seem to find success), wait until the stadium is expanded (yet to be seen, but if our current record continues and we only seem to win on the road, good luck with that), and finally, wait until the next conference alignment (I donāt see us going anywhere but down).
I will always love Charlotte as it is mine and my wifeās alma mater (Class of 98) and my oldest son is a freshmen this year, but I just canāt keep up the insanity any longer. I will always cheer and pull for my blessed Niners, but just canāt put that extra effort into it any more. This game and season was the last nail.
I will, of course, always follow NinerNation!!

There is a fine line between aggressive and foolish. We crossed that line faster than USFās offense runs the next play. This was a fitting end to a disappointing season.
