Absolutely especially since I think Xavier would be a great kid to have right now.
Thats the thing about his system, he was able to run a simplistic offense in high school because he had superior talent, at this level, and this early into his recruiting, he has not acquired the talent to run this system and be dominate, and we dont know if he can
Recruiting is the life blood of a program, and he was able to work the portal and bring in talent but many of them were former St Francis players, and it will take more than one recruiting class to establish quality depth, we have to hope that he can bring in overwhelming talent that allows him to run a simplistic offensive scheme, and he will have to expand recruiting from outside of the 410 to sustain our program
And 2 starting OL left with injury early and didnât return. Iâve read through all this and no one has mentioned that Byrd was running the ball, at least ok, before the 2 starting OL went out.
I think most of us would be OK with an Iowa type record so far in spite of the offense. Hawkeyes actually averaging just under 21 ppg vs an all FBS sked:
If we go 6-1 I donât care what kind of offense we run.
I disagree, I donât wanna watch that offense we had the first few games even if we were winning.
At Charlotte we take pride in running ugly systems that some other team (not us) runs successfully some of the time.
We are not Virginia or Michigan.
Took my lady to her first game - between the parking attendants telling us to move, then not move, then to move again and then the pathetic effort by the team, highly doubt Iâll be back. Miserable experience. Just a cluster^*+k.
Thatâs the spirit.
Where did you try to park?
Agree that parking attendants are untrained. The University usually sends out emails before the game with explicit instructions about where to enter and where to park. Good luck with getting 100% compliance among fans.
Come on back. "Uprisingâ gets better with repetition
Didnt realize their QB got hurt early, he was like the 3rd string guy who had been moved to another position but ended up starting for them due to injuries (he has experience).
So the guy who came in and played the majority of the game i believe was like their 4th string guy.
No i dont think thats right.
Three guys mentioned here as depth at QB, but none of them the guy who came in early in 1st quarter and beat us.
Lavatai has been their starter since week 1 except for 1 game. Not sure if we was hurt or pulled that game. In fact, he appears to have been their #1 guy since 2021. After him, 3 guys appear to have all had shots, including Woodson who got the nod Saturday when Lavatai came out. Seems like none of the 3 had really claimed the #2 slot as his own.
Wrong thread I suspect?
That said, yesterdayâs performance makes last weeks two blown plays for 60+ yards feel even dumber.
Yesterdayâs game plan would have beat Navy last week. It was the game plan and QB many of us have been expecting and pleading for all season.
The difference is in the Navy game we could not sustain any offense. Canât expect the D to never give up anything especially if they are tired. A respectable offense helps the D immensely. The offensive effort yesterday was enough to win but that wonât be enough most tames.
