The defense was as good as Poggi has hyped them to be. Should have been a shutout but that wasn’t their fault.
I believe we were missing several players today, not just the guys out for the season (like Welschof and Holley). IIRC, Miguel Jackson was hurt too.
It’s amazing how good they are when the O does enough to give them a break.

That’s incredible, lowest yardage total in our history and historically bad for ECU too.
Winning is contagious, undefeated teams seem to find a way to win. The same goes for losing. The muffed punt, dropped kick-off, two drops on option pitches, if any of those don’t happen (with the exception of the KO) we win comfortably. We dominated them and should have blown them out. That we didn’t obviously is cause for concern but Im celebrating tonight.
Despite ECU’s offense being bad, the D was elite tonight.
It was a gritty win, I thought we were going to blow it. The D however had other ideas. Stone Handy was unblockable.

I was doubtful for Friday. Traveling all week to the west coast, returning Friday. Going straight to campus to let the tailgate begin. No way I would miss the next game now. I hope the feeling is mutual.

Note to my fellow gamblers out there. If you plan on hitting Two Kings on Saturday morning, budget extra time.
This was the first time I went on Saturday morning and OMG was it packed. No betting kiosks free. Had to wait about 15 minutes.
And of course there was a GD traffic jam due to a wreck on the way back.
I swear to god that part of 85 is cursed.
If you go after work your guaranteed horrible traffic.

Got to give OC Miller some credit. No one is happy with our offense production but he made some changes to fit our talent and it was just enough for a win!
