ECU fan picture gallery (itās not all ECU)
Was a beautiful day to go into someone elseās stadium and screw up their weak-ass Homecoming. Especially the Pee-Rats, and especially Mike āthe Snakeā Houston.
I still think that slide late in the game could have been called a late hit on Jones. He was definitely committed before the guy dove in to hit him
Waking up 2-5 even after a dreadful 10-7 win over ECU is so much better than 1-6.
IF we could upset FAU and get to 3-5ā¦could we beat Tulsa, South Florida, and Rice lol? 6-6
How was the Niner turnout at ECU?
Exhausting game to watch as we never had a cushion.
Have to stop the dumb penalties and the turnovers. They wouldnāt have scored but for the muffed punt. Holding any team to just 120 yards or so is strong.
We had a solid turnout for a 1-5 team. It was a great time and despite some hard feelings the ECU fans were very hospitable for the most part. They have a great football culture that I hope we can develop. I got a feeling it is a bad day to be Mike Houston today. Couldnāt have happened to a more deserving guy.
I thought the turnout was great. Ran into folks in green everywhere we went. If we were App, weād claim to have been 80% of the crowd.
I gotta say thoughā¦I donāt want to hear anymore about ECU winning the tailgate. We set up at 8 and watched the bulk of them roll in at about 10.
I will give them credit for their RV lot. Iām doing that in 2 years.
Im trying not to let my mind drift here. 4 of our last 5 are winnable, for sure, but probably a less than 10% chance this happens. I think most likely is we win one, maybe two, of the last games.
We finish with 4 wins thatās a successful season with the rebuild and a limited offense. Especially if we stay in the games as we have all season. Great building block for next season. Add talent, retool the offense and find a real QB and maybe better OC.
For sure. When Jones complained, the ref acted all āget out of my face before I call a penalty on YOUā, as well. Taunting and late hits are extremely subject to refs judgement and it seems we hardly ever get the benefit of the doubt.
There was also a no call on a blatant block in the back on one of our punts late. I was afraid they werenāt gonna overturn the big play they had too but they did.
Iām not a blame the ref guy but we donāt get many 50/50 calls it seems
Part of those 50:50 calls are brand and part are deserving it. When you play bad ball (basketball, football, etc) it makes it easy to go against you. We arenāt going to likely ever be a brand that gets breaks, but we can play solid ball to earn a few.
Great showing from our fans yesterday- I loved seeing a lot of green on our side and they were loud. I havenāt been to a lot of away games but thought we had a strong showing as a 1-5 team.
Too many personal foul penalties! Some I am sure were bad calls but we are very lucky it didnāt cost us the game along with the fumble on the punt. We could have been up by a lot but defense held up.
Great game from Jalon! I was afraid we might take him out after the interception but we stuck with him. We did a good job using the tight ends, hope that continues.
I canāt speak for everyone but I had positive experiences with ECU fans before and after the game. I had several āWelcome to Greenvilleā comments and a few mentioned they plan to come to Charlotte next season. The RV lot is pretty cool.
We need to expand our stadium very soon. Great day to be a Niner!
Maybe its selective memory, but, when we were quite good in basketball, we didnāt get a lot of calls go our way. We should have been a brand name then.
BTW, menās soccer gets some calls when we play at home. Well, sometimes.
9 penalties for 90 yards. I didnāt see all of them but that 5th personal foul we earned.
1 penalty for 5 yards, from a 1-5 team? Thatās either a miracle or complete BS. I suspect the latter.
We will never be a brand name. We got some calls back in the good basketball days though. There were some Lville and Sincy games where we got calls - but i attribute that to us being worthy opponents.
Against chapel hill though we have been screwed in baseball, soccer and basketball. I fully expect that in football as well.
There was one run by Jalon that looked like someone got a finger in his mask. Was mostly hidden from the camera, but you could see his head getting pinned to his chest as the hand came around and grabbed from behind.

Saw this yesterday and forgot to post it. Kudos to our defense.
