FAU is a peer institution, their last three hires were Kiffin, Taggart (whom they moved in from quickly), and Herman. Ours were Lambert, Healy, and Poggi. Ones of these is not like the other.

I donât know why we keep trying to find a hidden gem and save some money. What has all that cost us in lost fanbase over time? If we can fund stadium expansion, could we not sell naming rights for our next football or basketball coach or something?!

Thereâs an old saying âPenny wise, pound foolishâ. It feels like that is our philosophy when it comes to coaches. Now I see what he was thinking in both Healy and Poggi but paying up to get Kiffin and Herman is the way, heck or even someone Golesh.
Iâm still pulling hard for Poggi but tonight was another body blow.

Ego. Hill strikes me as the kind of guy that has to feel like heâs the smartest guy in the room. Heâs clearly not, but he desperately wants to be.
Expanding the stadium is going to be a joke when it is EMPTY!

Some have said that a win against ECU was enough. Doesnât really feel like itâs enough tonight though.
Just bad bad football. Really no excuse for some of this.
I dunno whatâs going to happen. I think theres a decent chance Biff throws in the towel. he doesnât seem to have a plan. I said this before the season started - we hired someone with less college coaching experience than Will Healy. Ga State, Navy and now this game - ugly undisciplined unimaginative inexcusable football.

Some thingsâŚlike never ever do you want to take a TO before going for it on 4th down. You never should get delays on a punt. The personal fouls that were not in the flow of the game. It was rough.
There have been years where FAU was just physically better than us, it didnât feel like that was the case this year. The end result though was the same, they handled us. I donât know which is worse honestly.
The onside kick and the TO FAU took at the end of the first half demonstrated the total lack of fear, and to be blunt respect they had for us. It stings that assessment turned out to be accurate.

Losing this game doesnât concern me. We were supposed to lose this one and we did. 4-8 was our realistic ceiling this year. New rookie coach, half-new team, new and much better conference. It was inevitable weâd struggle.
The injuries in this game are particularly concerning. Not sure the coaching staff can control that.
The total colapse of discipline, on the other hand, is completely Biffâs responsibility. We have to clean that shit up or we wonât see a 3rd win.
Iâll personally give this experiment a 3 year window so long as next year shows improvement and we can bowl in year 3. If not, time for Graber to look at the entire AD and clean it out.
One of our fans flipping off ESPN might cost us some prime TV spots next year too. We didnât look good. âThugsâ getting thrown around a lot online.
