With TV and Phone cameras everywhere these days what are the actually rules on this??
Not as much in college but in the NFL you always hear about players watching tons and tons of game tape, heck remember Cam called out one of the Packers players years ago because they knew the play, Keuckly used to watch so much tape he did alsoā¦

From everything Iāve seen online, the rule is no in person scouting. So that in and of itself is a violation.
As for the difference between watching film in the NFL vs college, NFL teams have radios in the helmets so they arenāt taking play signals from the sidelines like college. NFL defenses are trying to scout the play from the formation vs the play call going in.
In my opinion, the only difference between all the film they already watch vs the in person filming is that the person can exclusively film the signs while they might not get those angles from film.
And from the anecdotal evidence online it seems as though it was extremely successful. The scout in question has been seen on video right next to the OC/DC frequently and there are videos floating around of the Michigan defense yelling plays that are about to happen.

I donāt see the issue. This is similar to how the Brits broke Germanyās Enigma codes. If youāre dumb enough to put āHeil Hitlerā at the end of every message, then you deserve to have your secrets read in real time.
Same thing for sideline signals.
If you arenāt changing them up every week, prepare to have them read.

Iāve been there 6 times this year to bet on CFB.
Iāve noticed that they have a lot of 1st half only lines and that can be pretty annoying.
If youāve planned out your bets you have to decide on the fly if you want to bet on the first half.
So last night I go and I start searching for games by team name.
Every game I find is 1st half lines only.
I bet a few and then got perturbed, and was like āGassman, something stinks here. What the F is going on?ā
I went out of search on the kiosk and pulled up the main game list.
I click on the same game I had just bet a 1st half line on and lo and behold, it has the full game lines??
What the hell?
I click around. I see no way to make the 1st half lines come up from any option.
I experiment and to some serious sampling. find that EVERY GAME you find via search only offers 1st half lines and EVERY GAME that you scroll through and find in the game list has full game lines.
I complet my bets using the game list then go and ask the person in the cage of the Sportsbook. Sheās clueless. Tells me to go see a manager in the main cage.
I go there tell him about it. He wants me to show him.
I show it to him.
Heās also clueless. His first response was āthat must be a live gameā¦ā I was like dude look at the screen itās a game thatās being played tomorrow.
He finally understood what was going on and said he would report it.
They would not refund the bets I made and let me re bet. Ok I can live with that. Buyer beware.
The fact they had no clue what was going on was shocking.
The fact that their betting kiosks are doing this is beyond bush league.
So if you go there to bet. Unless you want to bet a 1st half line you had best find your game in the main list.

The fact that 90% of the people I deal with daily have no clue what they are doing makes this story about par for the course. Amazing to me the incompetence of most people doing their job these days. Thats not a small mistake/ issue.
