2023 College Football šŸˆ

Must be the new College math. I saw 14 teams in the ā€œBig 12ā€ Conference.

Yep - for one season at least. Of course, if Yormark gets his way, will stay at 14 or even more.

Isn’t Texas predicted to be good about every year then they lose a bunch of games?

If this is right, I think every season tickets sales announcement and maybe even attendance announcement should have an asterisk. And that’s on top of some programs reporting tickets sold instead of butts in seats.

What’s the cheapest season ticket for the 49ers?

I think most of us are paying P5 comparable prices, on top of any required contribution.

Season tickets to any FBS program that are $100 or less are an absolute bargain, and should sell out because you cannot find other decent live entertainment similarly priced.

clt says we need to count tickets sold moving forward

Well, that’s a trick that only works when you have enough seats to hide your attendance with. Some other schools (some relatively close or in our conference) are able to fudge their figures this way.

Yes…i have said this many times. Our reported numbers are always much closer to reality than so many programs. I have seen multiple games at places like Rice and FIU that literally didnt appear to have 1000 fans in the stadium that reported 16 or 17,000 or more.

Hill said in the podcast this week we need to sell tickets to be able to afford
comparable HC’s salaries to the teams we are competing against.

If we want to be taken seriously, we are going to have to start doing this. This isn’t some SEC school with a 100 year history. They are our peers.

Biff may be our last / best opportunity to get this football program going. I know it’s hard for some folks to essentially double down on their commitment after past failures… But the alternative is to not support maybe the best chance we will have for a breakthrough in the foreseeable future.

Winning cures all ills. JMU is selling the number of season tickets they do because of the season they had last year. If we have a good to great season we will start selling. It’s hard to put the cart before the horse and get anywhere. The Healy hire indeed put the cart in front of the horse. It was a gamble that did not pay dividends. And now we are here.

Totally agree. We should have hired the JMU coach when we hired Healy & we probably would have had a slow steady build up to a successful
program. But we went with someone who could talk the talk but had no idea how to actually build a program. Covid & the last 3 seasons under Healy killed most of the momentum we had built in his first season. Winning can quickly turn that around but it’s going to be toougher to win moving forward in the AAC.

clt says look at our seating map, and try to buy season tickets. not many options.

would be nice for the AD to promote this

They were also good in FCS. I’m sure that built the fan base.

Difficult to see how Fitzgerald keeps his job. Basically same thing as what occurred with New Mexico State MBB last season.

That’s my thoughts, ā€œifā€ he was signaling who he wanted hazed he should be fired immediately. There’s a chance that maybe those players copied the hand movement he made but still firing him would be justified.

You have to have better control of your house.

These B1G staffs are huge. They are all over these kids, every aspect of their day. There is no way in hell the staff didn’t know this was happening, and therefore no way he didn’t. The I didn’t know excuse just doesn’t fly when you are the boss (apparently except for the pale blue cheats). It’s your job. He should be fired immediately.
