Before the game they unveiled this sign down the LF line showing all of our All-Americans on it. I think that it is pretty cool that we are getting the chance to watch the best player in 49er softball history play this year.

The competition might pick up today. Miami was picked to win the MAC this year.
Campbell was picked to finish 3rd in the Big South. Their best pitcher from last season Gigi Barefoot is now pitching for us. Could get interesting. She shut SC down last night.
Campbell is playing ETSU now. Tied in the 5th.
Miami plays SC next. Then CLT plays 2 in a row.

Ladies fall to Campbell 6-1 in 12 innings, Great pitching duel until relief in the 12th. Campbell pitcher went all 12 innings and threw 199 pitches.
The home plate ump was looking over the left shoulder of the catcher all game long and was calling stuff two inches outside (to a right handed batter) strikes. Campbellโs pitcher did a very good job of exploiting that. Charlotte made some mistakes on the infield that they had not made in the two previous games and it cost.

That was a rough one last night if you like offense. We certainly had a pitchers duel. Hard to tell from the LF stands but I think the HP ump was terrible! 
We made a few mistakes in the field, but Campbell ran themselves out of at least 3 innings.

Campbell pitcher threw 3 innings in their morning game yesterday and then 12 innings against us!!

Two matchups with St Johns and two games against Stanford plus a contest with host Georgia this weekend in Athens. Tall order.
Huge test this week. UGa was up to #8 in the poll that I saw and Stanford was ranked #14.
St Johns is 1-3 with losses to #15 UK & #23 Auburn.
Great opportunity to get some big Ws on the resume.
