Yes you did. Heard that too when talking about Rolfโ€™s first two seasons here. :joy:

No โ€œshot clock violationโ€ was a breath of fresh air.
I loved the agressive offense, guys definitley have the green light to shoot.
We are going to struggle against a decent center, offensively and defensivly.
I hope the 3-point shooting travels well, but typically it doesnโ€™t.
Would love to see Braswell light it up all year.

UAB lost to a decent Vermont team last night in large part due to going O-fer on 3s while the Catamounts made 10. Last time that happened to the Blazers was almost 12 years ago.

I believe there was one shot clock violation when a desperation 3 missed the rim, but donโ€™t think we purposely ran clock to get to that point (Presbyterian was pressing and pressuring high I think).

Pretty good 3-pt shooting, but they were fairly open looks for the most part. Glad guys hit the though, a more normal shooting night and we might not have pulled this out. Thatโ€™s because the defense was pretty disorganized and we definitely lack a stopper down low. The old Sanchez defense might actually work with this team to help with that issue, but hopefully this gets fixed before teams with decent interior players kills us. The rebounding wasnโ€™t great either, if we go zone against better teams, may be another issue.

Though never really thought the other team looked good, they did have some decent athletes, but seem to lack depth. Will be interesting to see how they do going forward in their conference.

Well itโ€™s going to keep impacting attendance, so Iโ€™ll keep posting. Iโ€™ve donated enough time and money to this program to keep bitching about the current state.

At least they were more enjoyable to watch. I do like Fearne and have enjoyed chatting with him at tailgates.

Iโ€™m glad that @NinerKen and @BigTimeNiner both saw how soft we were on the boards / middle. That was my big take away. It took us being red hot from outside to keep the margin comfortable and it still wasnโ€™t big.

Fearne in the presser said that the success they had inside against us was from our guards getting beat up top and our bigs โ€œhalf helpingโ€ leaving their big guy open to abuse us.

Iโ€™ll leave that up to the rest of you to judge. I like Fearne a lot and always want to give him the benefit of the doubt. However, for a ho hum backup center (Pierce) on a bad team to have this kind of stat line off the bench:

is a concern.

Said another way, depending on how good our injured guys are, I think Pierce could get minutes for us, and thatโ€™s never a good sign given the competition.

Again, itโ€™s just the first game, but I think this predicts an issue we are going to have all season.

We have a bonafied baller in Thomas !

Pierce did have a monumental game last night:

Anyway, weโ€™ll see if this is a typical PC team or more like the that of Dustin Kerns in his second and final season in Clinton. Certainly donโ€™t see the Blue Hose giving High Point a run for the money but perhaps a middle of the pact finish is possible as with DK back in 2018-19.
