Yeah, I donโ€™t know if I can do it again. That was some bad basketball last night. We are not very fun to watch at the moment.

Will have the wife put on the nipple clamps and chains and slap me a couple of times and watch it since I obviously love the pain!!

Like last night, Iโ€™ll record it and watch if we win. Saved two hours of my life not watching last nightโ€™s debacle.

Seems these are critical games, in terms of final record for the season.

If the assumption is we can compete around .500 in the league (still difficult to tell, at least compete well in home games). These last couple oos games have a major impact on final record.

Difference between a 14 win and a 17 win season is quite a gap.

Not sure what if any impact these games in Hawaii will have as relates to conference play. Of course, would like to be in a winning streak when Tulane arrives in the QC on New Yearโ€™s Eve.

Iโ€™m no longer sold on Memphis rolling through the league after their face plant vs Mississippi State, as well as their inexplicable home loss to Arkansas State. As such, league looks wide open, IMO.

Anyway, went through everyoneโ€™s OOC sked and hereโ€™s how things look as relates to games played at home and away. (Did not include neutral court contests except vs P5 opponents.)

CHARLOTTE (6-5)
5-2 home / 1-3 away
No P5 opponents (as of 12-23)
Buy game losses = 2

ECU (8-5)
6-3 home / 0-1 away
0-1 vs P5
Buy game losses = 3

FAU (7-6)
3-1 home / 1-3 away
1-3 vs P5
Buy game losses = 1

Memphis (9-3)
3-2 home / 4-0 away
5-2 vs P5
Buy game losses = 1

North Texas (9-3)
7-0 home / 1-2 away
1-0 vs P5
Buy game losses = 0

Rice (9-4)
5-1 home / 2-1 away
0-1 vs P5
Buy game losses = 1

South Florida (6-6)
4-1 home / 0-3 away
0-1 vs P5
Buy game losses = 1

Temple (7-5)
4-0 home / 1-2 away
0-3 vs P5
Buy game losses = 0

Tulane (6-7)
6-2 home / 0-2 away
0-1 vs P5
Buy game losses = 2

Tulsa (5-7)
4-3 home / 0-2 away
0-2 vs P5
Buy game losses = 2

UAB (7-6)
6-3 home / 0-1 away
No P5 opponents
Buy game losses = 2

UTSA (6-5)
4-1 home / 1-4 away
0-1 vs P5
Buy game losses = 1

Wichita State (9-3)
6-1 home / 1-1 away
2-2 vs P5
Buy game losses = 1

The aac is bad this year. Very bad. But Iโ€™d still bet we win 5ish games. We are a very untalented basketball team. Graves, braswell, and Rosado are the only guys on this team that would get minutes on a decent team.

CofC and LUC in a tight one. Figured the Ramblers would take a NET hit after losing to Oakland and now out of the top 100. Had been a promising season for the 2023-24 regular season champs in a resurgent A-10 until the recent injuries sidelined three starters.

This is a pretty good game. Enjoying it.

Just wish I enjoyed ours.

CofC took over with 8+ minutes to go and coasted to the win. Gotta feel for the Ramblers after being one of the favorites to win the tournament.

Nice win for Chris Mack & Co. Momentum for the Cougars as league play in the Coastal begins after New Yearโ€™s Day.

Yeah Iโ€™m not doing it the day before Christmas eve after the way we played last night.

See that tipoff is now 1AM

How does that stack up Run? With your stats so far.

First Tier: Memphis, Wichita, Temple, Fau, UNT, UAB

Of course early in the season, so we need to protect home court and compete for that 7th slot? Home court will be really importantโ€ฆ. How many first round byes in tourney?

What type of finish is Gold Standard in mbb? :sunglasses:โ€ฆ. 5th right? Doable but a stretch it looks like, still early

Tier 1:

Memphis
North Texas
FAU
Wichita State

Thought about putting Temple at #5 but just not sure about them. After the top 4, wonโ€™t really be too surprised as to how things hash out. Right now Iโ€™ll say Tulane and Tulsa most likely to be the leagueโ€™s bottom feeders.

If the Niners had begun the season with everyone healthy and available, then wouldnโ€™t hesitate to have them upper division. Unfortunately, thatโ€™s not likely given what weโ€™ve seen so far in trying to navigate injuries etc.
